Nigerian musician Joeboy, whose real name is Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, has addressed his detractors.
On social media, Joeboy has received a lot of criticism, with some critics calling his music “mediocre.”
In a recent “Backstage Banter” podcast episode, Joeboy responded to the critiques by stating that he is not “mid.”
He maintained that the majority of his detractors are simply dissatisfied with their life, which is why they are criticizing him negatively.
“There is nothing’mid’ about who I am.” In no way is it “mid” that I have accomplished so much in my profession at such a young age and still have my head on my shoulders.
Additionally, it seems to me that those who are criticizing me are generally unhappy with their lives. Because you wouldn’t pick up your phone and start berating people if you were truly content with your life. What is “mid” exactly? He stated, “I believe it was just a word that became overly popular and people simply started using it.”
