With pomp and pageantry, SP Daramola Kazeem posed for decoration to a substantive rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) today at the Airport Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja Lagos.
The decoration was consequent upon the recommendations of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukayode Egbetokun NPM, PhD to the Police Service Commission headed by the indefatigable DIG Hashimu Argungu Rtd for the promotion of members of elite special course 3/2009 and was subsequently upheld by the body after due consideration and diligent adherence to merit and seniority.
The now CSP Daramola Kazeem who is the current Police Public Relations officer of Airport Command and who also doubles as the Officer in charge of protocol of the command was full of praises to Almighty God who made the day a reality. He thanked the IGP, his management team and the PSC for their leadership style to have found him and his course mates worthy of such enviable rank which in police parlance is regarded as Federal Chief.
Beaming with smiles while being decorated in presence of his team members, colleagues, HoDs and Heads of Units by the Airport Police Command Commissioner, CP Aminu Baba Raji psc, and assisted by the promotee’s daughter, ASP Betty Kazeem and his management team, he said he is elated to be promoted and promised not to disappoint the force and Nigeria.
Just as the CP charged him to double his efforts in promoting the image of the police and according to him, to who much is given, much is also expected.
CSP Daramola Kazeem who has undergone several courses both at home and abroad worked as Deputy editor Dansanda, now the Dawn police magazine in the early 2000, he was also once a commander of CP Xsquad, Rivers State between 2020 and 2022.
He holds Masters degree in Criminology and Security Studies from Lagos state university.
He’s a member of prestigious International Association of Chief of Police (IACP) USA and a member of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations. Happily married and blessed with children.
