Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, was found guilty in two different federal charges earlier this year but was later pardoned.

On Sunday evening, the White House announced the news.

In September, Hunter, 54, entered a guilty plea in a different felony tax matter.

Additionally, he was convicted of lying in a weapons case.

In a statement, Biden said, “I signed a pardon for my son Hunter today.”

“Even though I have witnessed my son being unfairly and selectively prosecuted, I have remained true to my pledge to not meddle in the Justice Department’s decision-making since the day I took office.”

“Hunter was obviously treated differently.”

According to Fox News, Biden’s decision to pardon his son differs with his earlier statements to the public in which he stated that he would not pardon the first son.
