Enugu public Governor Peter Mbah has authorized 80,000 Naira as the minimum pay for public employees.
The announcement goes into effect immediately, according to Mbah, who posted it on his social media profile.
“I’m pleased to announce today a new minimum wage for workers in Enugu state, which reflects our unwavering commitment to their wellbeing.
“The amount of 80,000 Naira has been approved to become the new minimum wage in Enugu State, effective immediately,” he stated.
He went on to say that the action is based on his administration’s conviction that labor is a source of wealth and that, with proper care, it will increase state wealth.
