Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has declared his daughter Helen Eno-Obareki the acting first lady of the state following the death of his wife.
Eno revealed this to Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, during her condolence visit to him in Uyo.
The governor announced that his daughter would collaborate closely with the state’s deputy governor to guarantee the continued operation of the First Lady’s Office.
I give our daughter Helen the responsibility of carrying on the responsibilities of the position in order to preserve the First Ladyship and honor the work of my late wife.
The governor stated, “She will collaborate closely with the Deputy Governor and the Commissioner for Women’s Affairs and Social Welfare.”
Eno stated his belief that his daughter would succeed in the new role and carry on her mother’s legacy.
