Three African countries out of four that qualified for the U-20 FIFA World Cup have advanced to the Round of 16 knockout stage of the tournament in Chile.

Following the conclusion of the group stage matches played on Monday, Nigeria, Morocco, and South Africa secured their places in the next round.

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles drew 1-1 with Colombia to secure their place.

The Flying Eagles on Wednesday nigh, will face the tournament hosts Argentina in the Round of 16.

Also South Africa will take on Colombia, while Morocco is set to battle South Korea on Friday as the knockout rounds get underway.

The round of 15 will be held on Tuesday , Wednesday, Thursday and Friday respectively.

The winners will progress to the quarter-final stage.
