All Biafrans have been urged to participate in the exercise of their rights to self-determination and the realization of an independent state by Simon Ekpa, Prime Minister of the Biafra Government in Exile (BRGIE).
According to Ekpa, the actions being taken to create an independent state are recognized globally as a referendum method.
In a message released on Thursday on his official X Twitter, the prime minister acknowledged that more than fifty Biafrans had cast ballots.
He gave his word that all necessary preparations had been made for the 2024 Declaration of the Restoration of Independence of Biafra Convention to be successful.
He claims that the convention, which is scheduled to take place in Lahti, Finland, from November 29 to December 3, 2024, is a component of the fundamental rights of all Biafrans to self-rule.
The statement said: “We are pleased to extend an invitation to you on behalf of the Biafra Government (BRGIE) to attend the Declaration of the Restoration of Independence of Biafra Convention (DRIBC 2024), which will take place in Lahti, Finland, from November 29 to December 3, 2024.
“The Biafra Government (BRGIE) has made all necessary preparations for your accreditation to the event.
As someone who served under Nigeria, you are well aware that the British created Nigeria as an artificial experiment, which has resulted in ongoing violations of our basic human rights. Therefore, it is morally required and, above all, a struggle for your rights to self-determination to stand with your fellow Biafrans in exercising those rights.
“We are implementing our globally recognized referendum process to actualize our own state. More than 50 million Biafrans have already cast ballots, and more are anticipated to do so both in the country and abroad. We look forward to having you attend the convention.
