The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chapter in Bauchi State has urged the federal government to provide more palliative care and other forms of financial assistance to ease the suffering that Nigerians are now experiencing.

Following its stakeholder meeting on Saturday, the party made this suggestion.

Members of the House of Representatives from Bauchi State, former Governor Isa Yuguda, Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar, Health and Social Welfare Minister Prof. Ali Pate, and Senator Shehu Buba (representing Bauchi South) were among those present at the meeting.

Abubakar Sadique, who represented prior governorship candidates, former party chairpersons, and current and former members of the State House of Assembly were among the other guests.

“We urge the Federal Government to intensify efforts to alleviate citizens’ suffering amid the current hardship in the country,” said the statement, which was signed by Muhammad Hassan, the State APC Chairman. Additionally, we urge people to keep praying for our leaders to carry out their mandates.

The APC also stressed that the Bauchi-Gombe Oil Project will benefit the entire region and encouraged the Federal Government to restart and finish it.

Additionally, the Party suggested that all palliatives allotted to Bauchi State be disbursed via the state’s elected or nominated representatives.

In order to hold Party members accountable and guarantee justice, equity, and fairness in future congresses, primaries, and general elections, it also decided to institute disciplinary procedures inside the Party.

Lastly, the two ministers representing Bauchi State in President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet, as well as his renewed hope agenda, were unanimously endorsed by the Bauchi APC.
