According to Bassey, the Whites should have gotten more out of the match.
“I believed we were worthy of more. It wasn’t our day, but we had control of the game,” the Nigerian international told TNT Sports.
“In football, you need a little bit of luck, and we didn’t have any today.
They didn’t produce enough to cause us any problems. We knew how good they were.
“We had numerous opportunities; perhaps in the last section at the end could have been better.”
