With all of the songs on his new album “Morayo” ranking in the top 17 on Apple Music, Afrobeats artist Wizkid has smashed records.
This accomplishment was made less than ten hours following the album’s release.
Today, November 22, 2024, the record was published as a memorial to his mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.
The album’s debut single, “Piece of My Heart,” peaked at No. 4 on the U.S. Afrobeats Songs list and No. 7 on the International Digital Song Sales chart.
With one of its tunes receiving 1.57 million Spotify plays on its debut day, Morayo also broke streaming records in Nigeria.
