Pep Guardiola signing a new deal at Manchester City is “a problem for everybody,” according to incoming Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim.

On Sunday, Amorim will coach his debut match against Ipswich.

Since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013, the 39-year-old wants to become the first United manager to win the championship.

Guardiola’s decision to sign a new contract that will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2027 coincided with his arrival at Old Trafford.

“I think it’s a problem for everyone, but we can’t focus on anyone because we have so much to do,” Amorim stated.

“All we need to do is concentrate on making our club better, not on the other clubs.” If you can defeat that team, it’s incredible.

“All we need to do is concentrate on making our club better, not on the other clubs.” It’s fantastic; defeating that squad is encouraging, but our attention is on Manchester United.
