Police kill victim, not our student, KWASU administration

The media’s assertion that Ilorin, the victim of the police homicide in the Tanke area, was a student at Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has been refuted by the university’s management.

“Records at the university indicate that Aiyeyemi Sulaimon Olayinka had voluntarily withdrawn from the Department of Statistics of the institution since 2018/2019 session when he was in 200 level,” read a statement from Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, Ag. Director, University Relations.

“The Management of Kwara State University strongly sympathises with the family of the deceased and prays that God gives the family the fortitude to bear the loss.”
