American rapper 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, has stated that he turned down a $3 million deal to play at Republican Party nominee Donald Trump’s rally in New York’s Madison Square Garden.
In an interview with The Breakfast Club, he revealed this.
50 Cent acknowledged that he “got a call” and that he was also requested to play his song “Many Men, Wish Death” at the Republican National Convention this year in exchange for a comparable amount.
He clarified that he declined the offers because he fears politics because of its contentious character.
“I didn’t go very far. I didn’t discuss such things with them. I’m terrified of politics.
It’s because, whatever of your feelings, when you do get involved, someone passionately disagrees with you,” he said.
