Stephen Abuwatseya, a cab driver, has disclosed that Alex Ikwechegh, a member of the Abia House of Representatives, assaulted him at his home and then carried him to the police station.
Additionally, Ikwechegh threatened to “disappear” the Uber driver.
The driver was also threatened with being locked up in his generator house by the representative.
Ikwechegh phoned police officials, who took him to their station, the driver told VeryDarkMan on Monday.
“I don’t know which division they are assigned to, but he called some police officers after the video, and they escorted me to the station.”
The driver claimed, “They didn’t let me answer my calls.”
“I was taken to the IPO’s office, and they spoke to him outside the office,” he continued. Following the conversation, the IPO announced that he will conduct an investigation at the honorable (Rep member)’s Maitama home.
I spent more than two hours behind the counter. The IPO asked me why I had taped the member of the Reps when he got back from his house.
When the honorable arrived at the station, he began hurling insults at me. My automobile is still at the station even though I left it at three in the morning.
