Governor Siminalayi Fubara, political figures in Rivers State, and those who support them have all been urged by President Bola Tinubu to use caution and respect the law.

The state’s allegations of explosions and arson have deeply concerned the President, who addressed the tensions that have arisen since last Saturday’s local government council election.

He called on all political players to diffuse the tension and dissuade their followers from using violence or other damaging methods.

President Tinubu gave the police immediate orders to uphold and restore law and order.

He underlined the importance of protecting public institutions’ security while giving law enforcement agents instructions to put the situation under control.

According to President Tinubu, public-funded government buildings need to be protected from vandalism.

He emphasized that, particularly after 25 years of nonstop democracy, self-help has no place in a democratic system.

President Tinubu asserts that all political conflicts may be resolved by the judiciary, and the results of this election should be no different.
